Director of Business Development

Based in our Corporate Office in Geneva, we are looking for a

Director of Business Development

The position is responsible for the handling and coordination of global key partners for online sales, namely Wholesale and Tour Operators with online sales models. It represents Kempinski towards these partners and coordinates the partnership between Sales, Revenue and Distribution and the partner as well as towards the hotel teams.

Overall Objectives:

The job of Director Online Partnerships is executed satisfactorily when:

  • RGI increases

  • YoY incremental production through ALL channels

  • Manage performance objectives in relation to partnership agreements

  • Balance between Direct and Third Party Sales online is maintained (Rate and Product Integrity for is secured)

  • Relationship with the Partners is managed well across Corporate, Regional and Hotel level

Main Responsibilities:

  • Relation management between Global Partners and Kempinski

  • Regular performance audits on Global Partners

  • Monthly reporting on Partner Production versus Direct Business

  • Negotiation and support during contracting

  • Coordination of Global Partnerships with

  • Revenue: Rate strategy

  • Sales: Relation

  • Distribution: Connectivity

  • Creation and Implementation of strategic account plans to further develop revenue goals per partner

  • Assess and prepare Business Cases for new Partners

  • Present new Partners on a monthly basis to the CCO, VP Sales, VP RED for decision

  • Manage onboarding for new Partners

  • Create and review processes for Global Partners (such as assessment, contract, onboarding, management, mutations, stakeholder management)

  • Manage Data of Global Partners (in Salesforce)

  • Close collaboration with Global Revenue Strategy, Sales and Distribution

  • Perform confidential duties

  • Act as an internal mediator between departments at Corporate, Regional and Hotel level.

  • Updates and tracks the departmental forecast on a monthly base and keeps track of the departmental budgets of RED.

  • Support of monthly Management Board Report for RED

  • Facilitate all projects, as per VP Global Revenue and Digital Strategy decision

Additional responsibilities and tasks can be added at any time according to the needs of the business and of the Revenue and Digital department.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • minimum of 3 years experience in Digital Marketing
  • Degree in Marketing, Economics or Hospitality Management
  • Experience in Managing eCommerce Processes such as online bookings or online sales
  • solid understanding in how to drive conversion ratio
  • Hospitality background is preferred but not required
  • Ability to come up with own ideas, be able to formulate these and show a certain level of initiative
  • Demonstrate self-confidence, energy and enthusiasm
  • Have the ability to work under short deadlines in a dynamic international environment
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to work and communicate in a multinational environment with excellent English skills. Any additional languages would be a plus
  • Eligibility to apply for a work permit in Switzerland.
