Quality Assurance Manager – Trafigura – Genf, GE

Day to day quality claims management, ensuring timely, accurate review and assessment of each case.

Through focussed co-ordination, be able to streamline the process of handling, tracking and settling bunker quality claims.

In conjunction with stakeholders, ensure the smooth running of the overall claims process, and that all risks are assessed to minimise the impact to the growth of the Company

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Superior understanding of bunker specifications, analytical methods and measurement

Min 5 years’ experience in bunker oil operations and/or petroleum testing laboratories

Strong interpersonal skills, high standards of professionalism, resilience under pressure and effective problem solver

Good understanding of technical shipping and maritime terminology, as well as commercial shipping terms and the impact on oil cargo operations.

Self-starter with effective communication skills at all levels

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for collection of data, review and assessment of all quality claims related to TFG. Actively drive claims forward to maximize commercial value and mitigate Company risk.

Keep all concerned stakeholders fully appraised with latest quality claims’ status via appropriate and timely reports. Develop and maintain a reportable and accurate KPI structure for internal reporting. Produce weekly, monthly and quarterly reports to Management, as applicable.

Provide technical, contractual and operational input to resolve escalated issues and complex operations. Apply sound understanding of bunker specifications, analytical methods, laboratory precision and inspection procedures.

Ensure that all claims are fully provisioned, as necessary, in the commercial P&L. All claims shall be accurately documented and recorded, per Company retention policy.

Provide input and expertise to legal/ops/commercial on relevant contractual terms and conditions, for new and existing business.

Conduct regular workshops and produce written guidelines, to continuously improve internal processes in relation to bunker quality management, mitigation and claims procedures.

Effectively distribute relevant information on both regulatory and market news, keeping TFG at the forefront of industry knowledge.

Lead researcher for bio-bunkers, advising and assisting commercial teams with information, data and analysis.

Project Manager for IMO 2030/2050 implementation.
